A crew of stickmen who live on your desktop.
Last updated: 27 September 2026
These terms cover your use of StickSquad, a desktop companion application for Windows, published by Jeff Perez (“we”, “us”).
By installing or using StickSquad you agree to them. If you do not, do not install it.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use StickSquad on computers you own or control, for as many of your own installations as you like.
You may not resell it, rent it, republish it, or distribute it as your own. You may not remove or hide the notices that come with it.
Your conversations, memories, reminders, recordings, routines and everything else StickSquad stores are yours. They stay on your computer. We claim no rights over them, and we cannot see them.
StickSquad is a companion and a helper. It is not a professional adviser.
The stickmen are openly AI characters. They will never claim to be human.
If you connect a Google or Microsoft account, you are responsible for what you ask the stickmen to do with it. Actions that send, create or change something always ask your approval first — read those cards before approving them. Once you approve, the action happens.
You are responsible for keeping your own API keys and account credentials safe, and for complying with the terms of any service you connect (Google, Twitch and so on).
When you choose to turn them on, StickSquad talks to services we do not control — Google, Microsoft, Twitch, Wikipedia, OpenAlex, arXiv, and the sources behind the optional model and voice downloads. Your use of those is governed by their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them, for their availability, or for what they do with what you send them.
Do not use StickSquad to break the law, to harass anyone, or to attempt to gain access to accounts or data that are not yours. Streamer mode shows messages written by strangers; you are responsible for what appears on your own stream, and the filters we provide are a help, not a guarantee.
StickSquad includes third-party open-source software, including Electron, Chromium, llama.cpp (MIT), the Qwen model (Apache-2.0), the Kokoro voices (Apache-2.0), sherpa-onnx (Apache-2.0), espeak-ng (GPL-3.0), whisper.cpp (MIT) and ONNX Runtime (MIT). Their licences, and the source offer the GPL requires, ship with the app and are available from Settings → About. Those components remain under their own licences, which take precedence over these terms for those components.
Mods and postcards are files that people make and share with each other. StickSquad checks them and only ever treats them as data — never as programs — but we do not review what other people make. Only use ones from people you trust.
StickSquad is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will suit your particular computer.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost data, lost profits, or for anything arising from your use of StickSquad.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for StickSquad in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot legally be removed.
If you bought StickSquad through a store, that store’s refund policy applies, and refunds are handled by them. If you bought it directly from us, write to sticksquad.app@gmail.com within 14 days and we will refund you.
We may release updates that add, change or remove features. We may change these terms; the date above changes when we do, and the current version is always at this address. If you keep using StickSquad after a change, you accept it.
You may stop using StickSquad at any time by uninstalling it. We may end this licence if you materially break these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
